Policy for Posting Research Studies on the MASCC Website

Home > About MASCC > Policies, Applications & Forms > Policy for Posting Research Studies on the MASCC Website

Occasionally, MASCC receives requests for permission to post announcements of planned or ongoing research studies on its website for the purpose of recruiting collaborators, participants, or respondents. The announcement of such research studies on the MASCC/ISOO website must meet the following conditions.

  • A request must be submitted for review to the Study Group Coordinator and Manager of Sponsor Relationships. See contact page.
  • The study must be relevant to supportive cancer care.
  • The applicant must have submitted the study for IRB approval from an institution or organization and must notify MASCC when approval is received.

The Executive Director and the President will appoint a Board member (or a MASCC member with expertise in subject) who, along with the Executive Director, will review the application.

Priority is given to research studies in the following categories:

  • A study proposed by a MASCC Study Group. After being reviewed and approved, the study will be posted immediately on the website at no charge.
  • A study brought to MASCC by members of the Corporate Advisory Council. After being reviewed and approved, the study will be posted immediately on the website at no charge.
  • A study proposed by an academic institution or non-profit organization. After being reviewed and approved, the study will be posted immediately on the website. There will be a minimal administrative fee.
  • A study brought to MASCC by industry. After being reviewed and approved, the study will be posted immediately on the website. There will be a fee.

Please contact the MASCC Executive Director, Melissa Chin at mascc.office@mascc.org, for questions regarding this policy or applicable fees.
