Workshop 1: Using PROs in Routine Cancer Care: A Resource-Stratified Approach

Workshop 2: Shaping the Future of Integrative Oncology in Supportive Cancer Care Through Research and Implementation

This workshop will serve as a collaborative platform for researchers, clinicians, educators, and policymakers to shape the future of integrative oncology (IO) in supportive cancer care. The three core themes will be:

  • Advancing evidence and collaborative research in integrative oncology
  • Research informing workforce development: building capacity for integrative oncology in cancer care
  • Integrative oncology in supportive cancer care: implementing research and education into practice

 

Through these three core themes, we aim to:

  • Strengthen the global evidence base for IO through collaborative research
  • Expand workforce development and research for integrative oncology professionals
  • Ensure the effective implementation of IO into supportive cancer care through research-driven strategies

 

Educational Objectives:

  • Strengthen research methodologies for IO in supportive care, including IO for symptom management, traditional medicine, herbal therapies, supplements, acupuncture, and more.
  • Learn about research initiative in IO in supportive cancer care and implementation strategies
  • Accelerate implementation science and policy development to embed IO into mainstream cancer care.

  • Apply skills in ensuring high quality documentation
