Terms of Service

By selecting the “SUBMIT” button during the online registration process, you are liable to pay the applicable amount for delegate registration and any additional services booked for the MASCC/AFSOS/ISOO 2024 Annual Meeting upon approval by Multinational Association of Supportive Care in Cancer (MASCC).

Payment in U.S. currency only. All prices are inclusive of VAT in France. 

Payments can be made by credit card (Master/VISA/AMEX/Discover).

Any additional bank costs are to be covered by the delegate/invoiced party.

Registrations and additional service bookings can only be accepted with a completed online registration form.

A registration is strictly personal. It is not possible to transfer active account access (full or partial) to another registered person or company account. Re-registration at full price is required.

In case you are making a registration on behalf of another person (in the scope of individual, company or group registrations), you confirm to do this with the consent of this person and acknowledge your obligation to inform them about all applicable terms of payment and business and data policies.

Any cancellation received in writing at events@mascc.org after the Early Bird Registration Deadline of April 17, 2024 where the delegate is the sole co-author registered of an accepted abstract is not eligible for a refund. Any cancellation received in writing at events@mascc.org not later than May 17, 2024 where the delegate is not the sole co-author registered of an accepted abstract, will be entitled to a refund of 50% of the applicable registration fee less a 5% processing fee, including workshop registration fees and social event tickets. Registration fees for any cancellation received in writing at events@mascc.org after May 17, 2024 will not be eligible for a refund, including workshop registration fees and social event tickets. 

If the meeting is a hybrid meeting with in-person and virtual options are available:

• Any registration changes from an in-person registration type to a virtual registration type received in writing at events@mascc.org not later than May 17, 2024 will be entitled to a refund of the difference in registration fees applicable on the date of the change request less a 5% processing fee. Refunds for in-person only activities, such as workshops and social event tickets, are eligible for a refund of 50% of the registration fees less a 5% processing fee, if received not later than May 17, 2024.
• Any registration changes from an in-person registration type to a virtual registration type received after May 17, 2024 will not receive any refunds for the difference in registration fees. Refunds for in-person only activities, such as workshops and social event tickets, are not eligible for any refund.
• Any registration changes from a virtual registration type to an in-person registration type received in writing at events@mascc.org are subject to pay the difference in registration fees applicable on the date of the change request.

MASCC will not be responsible for any third-party liability incurred by delegates as a result of any alteration of format, date and location of the event.

MASCC retains the right to alter the format, date and location of any events in the MASCC/AFSOS/ISOO 2024 Annual Meeting program, if circumstances require.

The data you provide upon registration will be captured and processed for purposes relating to MASCC according to our Privacy Notice.

The usage of MASCC websites with automated systems is prohibited. This includes systematic mining of data or mass-mailings to other users. Any violation of this provision will result in blocking of the account without reimbursement of expenses.

Use of the MASCC name, wordmarks, logo or brand, or of any ‘passing-off’ versions of the MASCC name, wordmarks, logo and brand for commercial purposes is not allowed without prior agreement with and written authorization from MASCC.

Unsanctioned events seen to be competing with MASCC may not be promoted on the MASCC online event sites or channels. Use of the MASCC name, wordmarks, logo or brand, or of any ‘passing-off’ versions of the MASCC name, wordmarks, logo and brand in connection with any unsanctioned events is not permitted, nor may these be used in any way whatsoever to imply any official association or partnership with MASCC if this is not the case. Violation of this clause gives MASCC the full right to cancel your registration and all registration benefits without refund or reimbursement of expenses.

By accessing MASCC in-person or online event sites, delegates give consent to and confirm that any photo and audio/audiovisual recording made of them during the in-person or virtual MASCC/AFSOS/ISOO 2024 Annual Meeting program (conference, sessions, networking events, etc.) may be extensively used free of charge in replays of the events, in press coverage, as well as in any future promotional applications by MASCC in all media. It is also agreed that this material may be used for sponsorship acquisition.

In order to make this valuable learning material available for access and/or distribution (i.e., webcast) after the annual meeting, it is possible that you may be recorded during your participation in a session. The recording can include presentation(s) given at the annual meeting and may contain audio, slides, Q&A session and a video/picture of yourself. By selecting the “I accept” to the Terms of Service, you acknowledge and agree that your presence and/or original presentation will be recorded and may be subsequently broadcasted and/or shared by MASCC and other persons authorized by MASCC. To facilitate dissemination of the content globally, MASCC reserves the right to translate, reproduce and distribute your presentation in accordance with the current Intellectual Property regulations. In the event of any content-related issues (slide withdrawals, copyright clearance issues; mistakes in the accuracy of information, accidental disclosure of protected information, etc.), you will immediately notify MASCC at events@mascc.org.

Abstracts submitted for the MASCC/AFSOS/ISOO 2024 Annual Meeting are subject to the MASCC Abstract Submission Policy linked here.

It is understood that the MASCC/AFSOS/ISOO 2024 Annual Meeting sessions and events may not be recorded (audio/video) by anyone without prior and written authorization from MASCC (please email events@mascc.org).

You shall indemnify and keep MASCC and its employees, officers, directors, agents, members, and speakers fully indemnified from and against all actions, claims and demands brought against them resulting, directly or indirectly, from any infringement of intellectual property rights or any other rights of any third party effected by you.

You further agree to indemnify MASCC and its employees, officers, directors, agents, members, and speakers; sponsors and participants; and the hosting hotel and/or meeting facilities from any loss, liability, costs or damages arising from actual or threatened claims resulting from your infringement of these terms of service and/or from your negligence, gross negligence, or willful misconduct. In the event of damage to the hosting hotel and/or meeting facilities resulting from your negligence, gross negligence, or willful misconduct, you agree that MASCC shall have the right to charge you for associated costs and/or cancel your registration and all registration benefits without refund or reimbursement of expenses.

The MASCC community believes in and expects a welcoming, tolerant, diverse and productive environment for all. Offensive and discriminatory behavior on the basis of age, disability, gender, gender identity and expression, race, cultural identity, religion or belief, nationality, or sexual orientation will not be tolerated at the MASCC/AFSOS/ISOO 2024 Annual Meeting in person, in print, on display or on social media.

In case of infringement of these terms of service, MASCC reserves the right to refuse registration, or to cancel your registration and all registration benefits without refund or reimbursement of expenses.

The place of jurisdiction for disputes concerning the present agreement is Boston, Massachusetts, USA. The registration agreement shall be governed and construed according to the laws of Massachusetts and of the United States of America.
