Pathway to Excellence in Supportive Care in Cancer
In addition to our Center of Excellence certification, MASCC offers a Pathway to Excellence in Supportive Care in Cancer designation.
This recognition is awarded to eligible organizations, including outpatient-only centers or those without an on-site emergency department, that demonstrate the capacity to deliver comprehensive supportive care through direct management of toxicities or formal emergency referral networks.
Designation is determined through MASCC’s standard review process. Applications are reviewed by MASCC’s Certification Program Committee, with final decision made by the MASCC’s Executive Committee. Organizations awarded this designation receive a recognition certificate denoting their Pathway to Excellence status. The designation is valid for three years. During this period, centers must demonstrate ongoing improvement in supportive care activities. MASCC’s Certification Program Committee may provide guidance as appropriate throughout the designation period. Centers may reapply for designation upon expiry, demonstrating continued excellence and progress in supportive care delivery.
