Open-Rank Faculty Position, Supportive Care in Cancer, University of Rochester (Dissemination and Implementation Focus)

Description

The Division of Supportive Care in Cancer in the Department of Surgery at the University of Rochester invites candidates to apply for a full-time tenure-track faculty position (all ranks considered). Successful candidates are expected to make significant contributions to the Division in the area of cancer-related dissemination and implementation science, with a preferred focus on dissemination and implementation in the field of oncology. The faculty member will also have the opportunity to be an active member of the Wilmot Cancer Institute’s Cancer Prevention and Control Program and will contribute to the overall research goals of Wilmot.

Requirements

  • PhD, MD, DO, or equivalent doctoral degree
  • Strong track record of independent external funding
  • Successful candidates will demonstrate a strong record of extramural funding, strong publications, capacity for excellence in mentoring, the ability to provide community and institutional service, and experience in implementation science. Investigators with a research focus on the dissemination and implementation of novel and effective interventions in the context of oncology will be prioritized.
  • Topic areas of high interest include implementation and dissemination of cancer prevention, cancer control, and cancer supportive care interventions.
  • Track record of scholarly production with recognizable and significant impact.

Academic rank and salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. Proposed start time: summer 2024. The University of Rochester is responsive to the needs of dual career couples.
