About the MASCC Unmet Needs Assessment of Cancer-Related Cognitive Impairment Impact (MASCC COG-IMPACT)

The MASCC COG-IMPACT is the first purpose-built multi-domain unmet needs assessment for cancer-related cognitive impairment impact. It is a fit-for-purpose self-report tool that assesses the difficulties and unmet needs directly related to CRCI. The tool is designed to support health professionals in providing highly individualized and optimal care to cancer survivors as well as facilitate appropriate referral, support service provision, guide further assessment, and inform clinical and healthcare discussions. The MASCC COG-IMPACT can also be used by researchers aiming to better understand, or minimize the impact of, cancer-related cognitive impairment on the lives of cancer survivors.

The tool was first created between 2022 and 2024, and validated in 2024.
