MASCC Acute Radiation Dermatitis Scoring Tool
About the MASCC Acute Radiation Dermatitis Scoring Tool
The MASCC Acute Radiation Dermatitis Scoring Tool is a standardized, comprehensive grading system for acute radiation dermatitis which can improve consistency and accuracy in severity assessment across clinical and research settings.
The tool was created via a modified Delphi consensus study which was the first to incorporate both patient and clinician perspectives. Future validation studies will assess reliability, cross-population applicability, and inter-rater consistency among clinicians, researchers, and patients.
