Scope

The Outstanding Study Group Leadership Award recognizes a study group chair/vice-chair’s excellence and outstanding achievement in promoting, activating, and executing activities within the study group in the past year.

Nomination Process for the Outstanding Study Group Member Award

  1. A call for nominations will be published on the MASCC website and via email to all members.
  2. Study group members interested in this award may self-nominate and should first discuss this opportunity with their study group chair/vice-chair. The decision for whom to nominate rests with the study group chair/vice-chair.
  3. Study group chair/vice-chair may nominate an active member of their own study group for this award by submitting the nomination form alongside the study group annual report. The form captures the nominee’s engagement and contributions over the past year through rating questions and optional comments:
    • An overview of the nominee’s role and level of engagement in study group activities
    • Key contributions and achievements that advanced the study group’s mission and goals
  4. Each study group may submit only one nomination per year.

Selection Process

  1. The study group annual reports and Outstanding Study Group Member Award nomination forms will be reviewed by the MASCC Awards Committee and provide their recommendation to the MASCC Executive Committee for review and approval.
  2. The award recipients will be notified by email.
  3. In the absence of qualified submissions, the MASCC Executive Committee may nominate an individual who meets the established criteria for the award.
