MASCC Antiemesis Tool (MAT)
About the MASCC Antiemesis Tool (MAT)
The MASCC Antiemesis Tool (MAT) is an easy-to-use and easy-to-evaluate tool designed to help cancer patients and professionals communicate accurately about the prevention and control of nausea and vomiting that may occur with chemotherapy. The MAT can also help treatment centers evaluate the effectiveness of their antiemetic strategies.
The tool was first created in 2004 and validated in 2007. It’s now available in multiple languages, and can also be downloaded as an app for iPhone/iPad or Android.
